NEW ARTICLE: How did I go from leaving Israel because war terrified me to traveling to work every day between ballistic missile attacks? The peace of the Lord.Throughout Scripture, we read about the Lord’s peace being on those who trust in Him. We see examples of it in action during harrowing situations such as Yeshua sleeping through the storm, Job’s great affliction, David surviving Saul’s pursuits, Joseph after Potiphar’s wife’s deception, and Paul and Silas’ praise despite their chains. For most, their circumstances didn’t magically disappear or resolve when they chose to trust the Lord, but their attitudes (or heart posture) did. Notice that none of these people lost sight of their mission or faith. In fact, a lot of them thrived despite their hardships. Why? Because they were living with God and not just for Him.“You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock.” ~ Isaiah 26:3-4 (ESV)I’m sure you’ve heard people ask why bad things have happened to them. I think every believer has a moment of asking God, “Why have you allowed this to happen when I’ve given my life to you?” But as Yeshua points out in John 15:18-21, “If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.”So, why should we hold on and keep walking with the Lord if we’re promised such calamity? Because despite these troubles, Yeshua says, “Take heart! I have overcome the world” (John 16:33)! That assurance continues as we read the promise Paul writes about in Romans 8:17, “We are heirs — heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.” This is why we cannot simply live for God, claiming to believe in Him while fear, anxiety, low self-esteem, or doubt rule our minds. No, we have to live with Him, recognizing that we can still have joy and peace amid the scariest or dangerous circumstances because we do not walk by our flesh but by the Spirit: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. New Blog Post: Despite walking into 2026 with the sole focus of seeking the Lord’s will each day, I had hoped to complete the debut novel I’d been working on for the better part of six years. After the Holy Spirit placed the words of this book on my heart during a Bible study one random November evening, I was determined to write and publish it for the Father’s glory.I was (am) passionate about this novel, but somewhere along the way, my desire to faithfully steward the work God had given me became completely skewed. Rather than approaching each phase with joy, I began measuring my faithfulness by my ability to finish this project, and genuinely believed that if I didn’t, I’d fail God…The irony is that in my desperation to write the “perfect” story about dying to ourselves and surrendering to God, I’d stopped surrendering the story itself. As I edited and reshaped the chapters, I became so consumed with my protagonist’s journey to transformation that I completely lost sight of the book’s core message: Surrendering our lives to God doesn’t make us more important or promise us an easier life; it reveals that everything is about our Savior and all HE has done!Looking back, it’s no wonder I felt like I was stuck on a merry-go-round, spinning in circles without going anywhere. I’d become so consumed in accomplishing this task to honor my Savior, Yeshua HaMashiach, that I’d completely neglected to invite Him into the space.Thankfully, my wise accountability partner reminded me that I HAD finished the novel in 2023. So, it wasn’t that I wasn’t a finisher; I was just too close and needed to take a step back to recognize what I was missing. Rather than spending the next twelve months wrestling with a novel I am really proud of and still look forward to publishing one day, I took my writing partner’s advice and began plotting the idea that had been on my heart for the last two years.Incredibly, when I released my grip on this book, the Lord showed me what it is like to work alongside Him rather than trying to carry the weight on my own. While I’d been too stubborn to put my debut novel aside and seek the Lord’s direction, my mind had been impatiently bursting with new concepts! What began as a core idea and simple verse has organically evolved into a series that incorporates most of the storyboard ideas I’ve had in my notes for over fifteen years!! By surrendering each writing session to the Father and reminding myself that His love is not conditional on my work, I have written at least 100,000 words in the last six months, and I’m not done yet!“Teach me to do your will, for you are my God! Let your good Spirit lead me on level ground!” ~ Psalm 143:10 ESVBeing a writer is not for the faint of heart. It requires not only your blood, sweat, and tears but also your tenacity and dedication. There are days when I feel like the worst writer in the world, and others when I can literally hear the characters telling me their stories; it’s insane! But I wouldn’t be able to do any of this if it weren’t for the Father’s inspiration, strength, and motivation.By restoring my mind to the TRUTH of God’s grace and love, I've stopped trying to prove my faithfulness through my work and have learned that faithfulness means remaining dependent on the One for whom I live. While it is a blessing and a privilege to write the words the Lord places on my heart, none of it comes close to what our Savior has done for us. My name might be on the cover of books or articles, but my greatest desire is that the words inside each project will always be a display of worship and praise toward the One who put breath in my lungs.Perhaps, like me, you’ve been measuring your faithfulness by what you accomplish rather than by your inherent need for Yeshua. The first seven months of 2026 involved some major life changes that can be summarized in one word: Surrender!I thought I’d set my mind on seeking the Father’s will, but it wasn’t until the Lord knocked all my expectations and ideas off the table that my eyes finally focused on what matters to Him.The more time we spend in the Word and lying prostrate before our Savior, the more we will recognize that it’s never been about our own strength because we are vessels, not “all-important” beings on this earth; and that realization is more freeing than any advice found within self-help books or spoken by motivational speakers. No matter how much the world tries to tell us otherwise, THIS LIFE IS NOT ABOUT US!So, let me ask you: Are you simply living FOR God: attending a kehilya (fellowship), reading regular Bible plans, telling people you’re a believer, saying a prayer before meals? So, we’re supposedly entering a 10-day ceasefire with Hezbollah at midnight👀. That’s in less than an hour. I’m exhausted and just want to go to sleep🫩, but in usual “ceasefire” fashion, our enemy is trying to attack us as much as they can before the deal comes into effect… Sirens have sounded in nearby cities, so we’re just awaiting our turn. It’s Yom HaShoah—Holocaust Remembrance Day—which means the sirens sounded at 10am for two minutes of silence. The nation comes to a standstill… or at least, it’s supposed to. It was a bit shocking to watch so many cars continue driving, but at least some people did stop and take a moment to reflect on those we’ve lost, and the road that was paved so we could return home and begin again. #neverforget #holocaustremembranceday #vlog #sirens ...
