Remnants: Season of Glory (Book 3)

AHHH!!! HOW CAN THIS SERIES BE OVER?! And why did it take me so long to read it?! Haha.

I’m still trying to process what I’m feeling after those final chapters… relief? Contentment? Sadness? Peace? All of the above?

Remnants: Season of Glory was a non-stop thriller, packed with twists and turns that had me questioning every character’s motivations. The time had finally come for the Alilth to face their mortal enemy, Sethos, and confront the Sheolites that had seeped into their world. Built on biblical themes and symbolism, this third and final installment was an epic conclusion to a truly brilliant series.

Synopsis

In the third and final volume of the Remnants series—Seasons of Glory—the power of the Remnants and their people are growing, threatening Pacifica’s careful plans for domination. Among the Trading Union, village after village, outpost after outpost, and city after city are drawn to people of the Way, and agree to stand against those who hunt them. But Pacifica intends to ferret out and annihilate the Remnants—as well as everyone who hasn’t sworn allegiance to the empire—setting the stage for an epic showdown that will change the course of a world on the brink … forever.

The Alilth have been through so much — battles, temptations, testings, romance, betrayal, torture, and alliances — yet their mission is far more simple. With the Call still before them, they return to enemy territory, trusting the Maker to guide their paths and grant them victory. But this book reminds us that winning isn’t always about how many enemies you defeat. Sometimes true revival comes through walking in truth and love rather than wielding a sword in violence.

“Our Maker hasn’t called us to live a safe life. He’s called us to live a life of trust.” ~ Lisa T Bergren

I thoroughly enjoyed Season of Glory. I honestly couldn’t put it down. Every page made me want to read more, and I loved when the point of view shifted between characters. I also enjoyed getting to know each Ailith deeper — some more than others — and seeing how far they’d come. Lisa T. Bergren did a FABULOUS job with this series, and I’d even put it on the level of The Hunger Games or The Maze Runner. This trilogy should not be slept on. If you enjoy action-packed stories with heart, faith, and compelling characters, Remnants is absolutely worth reading.

Since finishing this series, I don’t know what to do with myself. I’m officially in a book hangover, still thinking about everything that happened and where life goes from here. And yes… I’m secretly hoping Lisa writes a sequel so we can return to this vivid, futuristic world — there is still more of this story to be told!

“Make me a daughter of memory, Maker. Don’t let me forget to honor you. Help me to make you first and foremost through every hour.” ~ Lisa T Bergren
